Doctors
We have a large number of doctors working on our intensive care unit. Every patient is allocated a doctor as well as a nurse to look after them. They will work alongside the consultant and senior nursing staff to ensure the best possible care can be provided. They will also be able to answer any questions you have.
During each shift, there will be a minimum of 4 'junior' doctors covering the intensive care unit. The way the training has changed for doctors makes their grades somewhat confusing. We have a range from foundation doctors through to senior medical and intensive care registrars. All of these doctors are supervised by a consultant specialising in intensive care medicine. The consultant is always available day and night.
